Ah damn, I've only had good stories to tell of my Coleman Hot Water on demand unit -> you probably saw my other thread??
I hope I'm not as unfortunate as you guys! You were very lucky to have it replaced without receipts though LOL.
Any tips for prolonging life, battery life or anything else?? I guess just keep it outta the weather? Regular battery charge?

    Re: Coleman hot water

The reason they are willingly replacing them is because there was a model fault. You will most likely notice that the new one you have is a different model number.

I also heard that Super Cheap Autos bought all of those faulty models and had them re badged and were selling them cheap.

    Re: Coleman hot water

    Hi Folks,

I have had the coleman hotwater system for 4 Years, its just starting to show some issues now. I use it via a spear pump so I suspect that water is a bit hard. As a male I took the thing apart to have a look and made sure that all the spades were connected and also cleaned the unit ( as per the maual) using lime/scale remover in a bucket to so many parts of water . It's now working better than ever....

Hints .. Buy another battery as a spare/backup

If super cheap did buy a heap they weren't selling them cheap at BCF 2 weeks ago they were a hundred bucks dearer than what I paid at Kmart a week earlier.
