Fishing for the thrill, not for the kill
I have a SOL 2500 with 8lb fireline and i could not be happier... Matched with a Rapala Sportman 7 foot rod it is just the perfect weapon for bay snapper on plastics... Top fish there mate this weekend i hope to have one last crack at a JACK... well done.
g'day mate, nice fish....but unfortulately i dont think it classifies as a geniune 50cm one....with out its neck cut and broken it wouldnt be over the 50. nice fish all the same though.
yes, was measured b4 the cut was made. some fish shrink a smidge after icing as well. we have found this quite a bit, caught a 80cm salty barra, got home and measured after icing and was 78cm, a lot of reefies do it too, we wont take anything 1-2cm over legal anymore cause they have a tendancy to shrink and we would have been in the poo if we were checked back at the ramp on one occation.
cheers
yes, still landbased, am too poor for a boat
Nice effort champ. Would have been a good little fight.
