Went up to caloundra for the week and was thinking of my father who was up in the cape pullin barra, jack and bottom bashing and found out the barra farm was only 40 ks from were i was staying so of i go thinkin hardbodies plastics poppers but when i got there and the only caught was on pellets i thought crap there goes the fun. Anyway tried the crappy pellets and shure enough i was on and it just slid back to the bank knowing once caught they just let you go. Went back the next day to try more time in the big boyz pond with pellets and no fun. My son did get one in the smaller ponds and gave it to me when he couldnt land it and i wasnt there to help. After he calmed down i reminded him they go back anyway and you still got one. I will go back when it heats up but no go on plastics or hardbodies. Still heaps being caught in the smaller ponds for the kids but i want a biggen. Oh heres a full barra i ordered on my last night in a tie resterant yummy cheers. PS my father and mates only got one barra amonst 14 men but had a ball on deep sea fish and queenies.

I just don't think i could eat ,kill or pay that much for a freshwater barra

There saltwater fish they pump water into there, cant believe they still catch fish on a regular basis the place gets thrashed i remember when i first went there 8 years ago caught the ones in the big boys pond every cast.

woops i forgot i still wouldn't kill them.
They are dirty looking fish with stuffed mouths and skinny bellies.
I think it is mostly the new fish that eat alot or they are to lazy to catch the mullet and herring to eat.
