Mate haven't fished Cooby for a while but I would suggest you grab a 1/4 ounce purple Smak spinnerbait and walk the bank left from the boat ramp and keep casting. You should pick up some goldens. Have caught goldens and silvers on garden worms when we first came to the area. Keep the spinnerbait above the weed (if any there) as you get closer to the bank.
