    Red Hot Threadie Session

    Hi All,

Finally had a session worth bragging about

Hit the river at about 1700 and was back home at 2200 having boated 10 Salmon smallest 50cm largest 86cm, 3 lost and about 30 hits which didn't hook up. Couldn't believe our luck, was more like a remote Cape York session rather than down town Brisbane. Fished lures and soft plastics however best results were on bibless rattlers, small barra classics and Killa Lure flatz ratz. The fish kept spitting the plastics out!!!

Don't know whether to give them a rest or go out again tonight!

    Regards

    Richo

Brilliant effort, that sounds like a session to remember and a lot of fun. Wouldn't dream of asking you your spot but interested to know mouth/Mid or well up stream only if you don't mind? Cheers

If you wish to learn more about reading and getting the most from your Lowrance units or learning more about fishing with artificial baits I will come out in the comfort of your own boat for one on one coaching. Please call for more information.

Went out again for a little while but to no avail, must have spooked them last night! had a few small hits but very shy.

Fishing middle reaches of the river on the run out tide, getting hits close in to the bank. Look for the bait schools near shallow banks combined with a nice ambush spot.

    Good Luck

Don't think you have to worry about me catching all the fish think we fluked it that night! Reckon the river is full of salmon it is just a matter of finding out where they feeding and particularly where they are schooled up!

Not game to go out again for fear of disapointment.
