Pine River jew double-up!

For the first time ever, fishing the Pine, I caught two jew in one session this morning. And as you can see from the pics they were two beautiful fish!

Two beautiful, clean, healthy, glistening, baby jew.

Oh well! - that's fishing. Bring on Iluka next week.

And I did get a few nice bream. All fish caught on live prawns.

Awesome work mate they are good looking Bream too!! I caught a good 31cm bream Sunday morning on your spot using a 15cm mullet!!! don't know how he got the mullet in his gob let alone the 4/0 hook lol.

My dad and I have had 2 Jew from the pine in one session once on plastics, mine was about the same size as these but dad's was about 50cm, thing jumped outa his hands back into the water before we could measure him

Its all about location and timing I wish I could get out there and fish as often as you do!!! maybe in 30 odd years when its time for me to retire lol

Those little 80mm squidgie mullet would work a treat there I reckon.

It was pretty hard work this morning Brandon without any run of fish at any stage. I fished the last of the fall and about half of the rise in ideal conditions but was just catching the odd fish throughout the session. The jew took small prawns intended for bream, close in to the mangroves. Although I had larger baits (banana prawns, herring etc) out wider looking for a bigger fish the only thing I caught on any of them was one of the bream which took a banana prawn. Only about half of the bream I caught were keepers and there were a lot of small tailor making a nuisance of themselves at times.

I've never tried plastics there Pete. It might be worth a shot sometime just to see what you could find. The plastics might attract a better class of fish than the babies I caught today!

Yes Silent. I caught most of them from the aquarium this morning and stayed out until they were all used.
