Darren if you've seen the size of some of the sharks pulled from as far up as Castle Hill, and particularly that lagoon on the north bank there, {and cuzzamundi will bear witness to the size of the buggers in there}, you'd wonder what all the littlies are doing round there in tubes, on a weekend.

That lagoon is up for landscaping and public park access...........it's only a matter of time before there's a fatality. I've lost two cast nets in there to bullies.............oh! and a reminder.............don't put the loop in the cast net rope round your wrist........they nearly had me as well.

I'm reading some of these comments in amazement. Particularly Tunaticers earlier reply about having sharks nudge his leg while using a baitnet....WHAAAAT !?!?

If I was using a baitnet and a large grey something rubbed up against my leg, the following would happen...... My scream would be loud enough to wake the dead and create a huge sonic shockwave which would blast out in a giant circle, it would lift all of the water from the surface and kill every fish in the area, birds would drop from the sky. The immense noise would have enough power to lay all of the mangove trees flat to the ground. My hair would turn white instantly. Within the hour you would find me sitting high above Ayers Rock on the top rung of a step ladder, sucking my thumb, rocking back and forth, mumbling "safe here, safe here" while shaking like a chihuauha. i don't like sharks
