Anchor well Quintrex Dory 4.2

Anyone know if you can cut and fit one of those plastic anchor wells to a Dory??

have seen it done dosent look to great at all. Better getting a alloy one welded in to withstand the test of time

I got a mate to build an aluminum box in the hole just in front of the front seat. This held/stored the anchor and warp but more importantly added an extra layer to protect the boat from the the flukes of the anchor if it was dropped as the hull of a Dory isn't that thick!!.
