    Noosa And Bli Bli

Well, I have just come back from an absolute brilliant week with my nan and pop up at Noosa.

On the way to Noosa we stopped for a 6 hour fish at the Barra Park as I had never caught a Barra . Altogether I caught 20 fish in that day with all of them coming on the pallets with a couple between 50 and 65cm's. The first picture was my 2nd Barra as I dropped the first .

Next day I went for a fish and a swim but had no luck on the plastics and only 1 small Bream on the bait. After that we went for a lovely 2hour walk in the National Park and saw alot of great scenery with some great rock platforms that all of you have been talking about, Including Fairy Pools and Hells Gates and looking upon Alexandria Bay. After that I had a fish in Woods Bay with a popper with small Bream and some THUMPER Whiting following it but luck wasn't on my side (BUGGER).

On the last day, During the morning I went fishing in Noosaville with sp's near this spot with pylons and boats and hanging Tuna and Trevally skeletons off the boats rope. The secret weapon was 70mm Squidgy S Factor Flickbait in Pillie with a 1/20th jighead on a r e a l l y slow retrieve near the pylons which picked me up lots of Bream from 20cm to the biggest going 35cm (New PB, although forgot the camera!) also on Gulp sandworm in natural caught a Catfish which a nice man launching his boat to go flicking around the sound helped me retrieve by jaw grabbin (something I wouldn't do!) On the way home I went for another fish at Bli Bli Barra Park with soft plastics to catch Barra from 35-50cm's Great fun on 4lb and 12lb leader

    Cheers Tom

I will have to get back up there with Keechie this time!

Good work Tom, sounds like you had a chance to scout out a few nice spots. Some nice barra there, were you fishing them on the surface or weighted?

That must have been a top trip Tom. I remember spending those sort of trips with my My grandparents many years ago (although not at the barra park - as I was in Sydney at the time), but they taught me heaps about the old style of fishing, that I took into the newer techniques. i am nearly fifty years old, and I will never forget those trips. Cherish every moment you spend with them. And if an old fart like me can ever help you ....just yell.

    well done Tom

    Cheers
