Where can I get live pipi in the Brisbane Area?

No where I know off. I have not seen them for sale live anywhere in Brisbane.

You would need to go to Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast beaches to find some. Alternatively, North or South Stradbroke, or Morton Islands.

Most beaches should hold populations of pipis. Have you collected them before?. Do you know how, and what are you after them for?

I had collected them before in NSW but not in QLD. Bait and food. Is there a limit of how many you can collect? Do you have a beach I can try?

I have collected 100-150 within an hour at Peregian Beach near Marcus up the coast...

It was and I'm prety sure it still is illegal to remove Pipis off the beach you have gathered them on in NSW,if the law is still in place it brings a very hefty penalty.

That is correct. There is a take and possession limit of 50 on all Molluscs excluding Oysters. There are also some places you are not allowed to collect them;

Deception Bay, Nudgee Beach and Wynnum foreshores

The Twist is the best way, and is good exercise as well.

Look for a flatter piece of beach and watch for the tell tale small holes as the waves and wash retreat down the beach.

Tailorboi99 where about in Peregian Beach did you find them. It is a very long beach. A tip where I start will be excellent.

Mate they really should be everywhere on the beach from perigian to sunshine. Shouldnt be too hard to find
