Is your battery fully charged?
Once the power supply drops below a set amount the machine will power off automatically.
Jack.
battery fully charged the unit stays on during simulation mode but shuts off during real operation afetr 5-10 minutes
Internal or external antenna?
If external, check, in particular, that the antenna connections are solid.
Dunno if this will help mate, I just did a google and there are apparently some models that shut down after 7 minutes of no movement???
Interesting, although if you are not moving, and not fiddling witht he buttons or menus etc, then I suppose there isn't really any need for the GPS to be on? Unless you are using it for a drag alarm of course, which is a very valid reason. But yeah perhaps his model is one of those. At least his batteries wont go flat as quick![]()
Problem solved the unit was WAAS enabled out of the box once this was switched off problem solved, apparently this is a feature which only works in the Northern hemisphere and if left on here will freeze or shut down the unit, thanks GME for your quick response.
1. What is a GPS WAAS enabled that is sold in Australia.
2. Surely GME should be disabling this feature before the units even leave the warehouse.
3. WAAS is a fetaure that has very limited potential even in the northern hemisphere.
