the only fish i have ever caught on a hard body lure was a 62cm trevally from the nerang river on a gold bomber. mind you, it probably would have attacked anything cause i must have casted it on its head it hit so quick!!!
Just wondering what lures are good for trevally

Trevs will hit just about anything mate. A good way to target them would be to throw poppers from an hour each side of dusk and dawn. use poppers around 60mm long in the rivers and creeks. On the reefs use the heaviest gear you own and thro poppers 100-200mm long
Would be good to know what area you will be targeting them (estuary or reef)and can give you a bit more refined info.

If you wish to learn more about reading and getting the most from your Lowrance units or learning more about fishing with artificial baits I will come out in the comfort of your own boat for one on one coaching. Please call for more information.
Big trevally can be caught while jigging in deep water around structure(reef and wrecks) or in shallow water above bombies with poppers. But I'm sure they'll slam anything that comes their way if presented right.

lures called RED HEADS, pretty much any hard bodied lure with a white body and red head, most I have had hit are by Halco and Rapala
Fillet and Release Squad
try the silver sx48 (ecogear) or poppers like rapala skitterpop or bubble pop65 are good you might get a jack aswell if your fishing in the rite area.

anything that comes out of a packet with Burkely on the side and is about 5" long
2 year ago caught this 69cm golden travally on plastics, then we managed to bag another 2 over the course of the rest of the day.
chug bugs is an old favourite for the inside trevs
yep what abbot said, the chug bugs are hard to beat. or a plastic prawn will sucker them in alot of the time
figjam
Atomic 4" Shad in Grey Ghost or if the bait in the area is smaller I use the 3". Trevally love these. The one in my picture was caught on one of these SP's.
Thanks Alot mate.

Here in Hawaii I've had success using these Yozuri Crystal Minnows in this color pattern:
Also Rapala CD Minnows in purple/black:
For trolling I've had great success using plastic squid skirts white and pink with a eggs sinker in the head for weight.
Black surface poppers, and also black curly tail grubs work well too.
