    Plugs for electric motors

    Minn Kota brand plug and socket or Anderson Plugs? Any suggestions for connecting/disconnecting electric motors.

    Andersons, easier then the MK deck plug

    I agree with the Captain - and they're cheaper too!

    Talk to driveon on this site and he can sell you andersen plugs (and other wiring gear if needed) at very reasonable prices.

    Deffinitly 50amp anderson plugs cheap and simple. i have also heard a couple of complaints with the minn kota plugs, after a bit of salt water they seem to fail .

    Fitted 75 amp anderson plugs to mine and works well. Used the same plugs on the battery charger and made up an extension lead to make charging the battery easier

    I have Anderson plugs for my electric motor and they work find and are neat when mounted as they are flush with the side of the hull. Good idea with the Charging will have to look into that.

    Jaycar electronics sell them for around $10-12 each plug which is half the price of Bias boating.
