catching Moreton Bay Bugs recreational
Hello Fellas,
Is there a way to catch Moreton Bay bugs without dragging a net which I believe is illegal unless you have a pro fishing license. Does anyone know if there is a way of catching these delicious little critters?

Nope, they are a catch by the trawlers. Never heard of them being caught in traps like crabs
If you really fancy diving for some, 1.6 miles east of green used to be the big bug grounds.

I just ate 2 kg and at the moment I am content but tomorrow is another day!! I love these little buggers and paying more a kg than muddies is hard to swallow. I catch my own muddies so I thought I would ask the question. I just bought 2 kg off the Fish Factory who have horse bugs at the moment. I normally order 13 or so for me and my wife. When they loaded 13 in it weighed 4.5kg. They are absolute monsters! Anyway love to catch bugs. 2 weeks ago my mate pulled in a lobster fishing for whiting near Green. Makes you wonder.
