    new sounder

    Hello all,
does anyone have any advice on an inexpensive sounder..I already have a Humminbird, however it does not provide water temp, so am looking for something that will do this as well as depict the thermoclines...all without spending a fortune..any suggestions?
    cheers

Aussie dollar still pretty good, keep an eye on some of the yank prices.

    Hey
maybe stay with humminbird and go for a new 717. comes std with temp is dual frequency and not a bad screen reseloution and with pick up those important thermoclines. also gps ready if you want to turn it into a plotter combo in the future and i think you will find that you can pick the up under $400.00 hope that helps.

    cheers

My old sounder was a humminbird cheapie ( the ones they sell at K Mart), was about $180 and had temp and no trouble finding thermoclines at Faust dam.
I think it was called a pirana max 10
