The key is to have a range. I had a lot of success in the early days with a 1/16th gamma jighead with fine guage hook and a 2" bloodworm powerbait if I remember correctly. We used to call it the performer. Same thing in xmas lights colour was good aswell. You really have to change your technique as the tides and wind change. I consider 1/16th fairly heavy heavy but sometimes it feels right.

Pink grubbin was used on the tournament circuit a few years ago and as far as I understand it, it is rigging a plastic (usually pink) and working it as a surface lure. Again, use Mono leader and do some experimenting.

Something I have found is a lot of techniques feel wrong........until you catch a fish .

Persistance and trial and error is important. Remember, some top level pro's come home with a 0 bag sometimes!

gold coast chaser.. the nerang holds so much structurse to flick a lure into and so many places hold fish...

i use a small platic mainly lil flick baits or wrigglers and atomic prongs anything around the 4inch mark..if r fishing the day the bream will be found lurking in the shadows of trees, Boats, Pontoons, bridges etc...

technicques to use are light weight jig heads for a slow sinking style then vary around with heaveir jigheads. remembering not to heavy..

    anyway good luck.
