    Motor trim

    Hi All
I was reading another thread on motor setup and prop size and it got me to thinking about my boat. It doesn't seem to respond to trim that much. ie trimmed right out it still sits nose down(unless there are a couple of adults at the rear)The motor is on the second last hole from the bottom and the cav plate seems to be sitting a bit higher than the bottom of the "V". Would lowering the motor make it more responsive to trim?

    Re: Motor trim

Yes lowering the motor will make it more responsive to trim (More leverage).
But it sounds pretty much ideal to me re: Cav plate height.
And lowering the motor will create more drag and that equals slower speeds and more fuel consumption.
