    early season tailor

    Has anyone heard if there is still a few early season tailor around bribie or do i keep my surf gear in storage a bit longer.

    I havnt been out personally but there have been plenty of reports of tailor around skirmish point and along the western beaches

    When is it officially 'tailor season' ?
    And what sort of rig, bait setup do u use ?
    Ive only been up on the GC for 8 months but often here locals talkin about the tailor season and how great it is.

    Tailor starts around may and ends in september - thats greenbacks. The regular tailor can be caught all year round. If beach fishing, i use a size 6-10 round sinker and a mono trace to 3 gangs of 4/0 or 4 gangs of 4/0.

    Pilchard are the best baits, Fish 2 days b4 full moon or new moon.
