    Legal Size For Mack Tuna?

I had a beautiful day outside the cape with some of my Kids yesterday. Among the many species caught were some mack tuna, which we returned as I do not know the legal size.
Can any one tell me what is legal for these? I couldnt find it on DPI.Is there a good way to prepare them? Sushimi??

Oh and many thanks to the kind hearted soul who ran into my trailer at the scarborough carpark. Anyone know where I can access Dunbier tandem plastic guards.

Hey, With the Mack tuna, i dont think there is a legal size, i googled it and the first few said, "Bag limit: N/A" and "Size limit: N/A" N/A to me = Not applicable. Please correct me if im wrong. as for the rest im not much help!

Yeah no legal limit but they are excellent bait for bream and trevally but comes off the hook pretty easy but these are also great for burley as they have a strong scent.

No legal limit and you can eat them, but you have to be really, really hungry
If you really want to know look up a post I did on Tandoori Tuna in the Recipes section. That is the only way I know that hides the strong flavour.

I've since realised that they are much better as a good snapper bait and I don't bother keeping them unless I want bait.

to make them firmer as a bait try filleting and salting the fillets down rub heaps of salt into them and let them dry out a bit

no real need to salt them to use as a cut Bait, just run a fillet off, and cut Baits leaving the skin on, or as I do, leave the Fish whole and cut the Baits off the sides, you do not need a bait the full thickness to the backbone, and when you are finished fishing, that frame becomes next trips burley, and not in a burley pot, just cut up into little bits and drifted over the side a bit at a time, so the burley is the same as the Bait you are using.

What about legal size for Long tails? I cant find that anywhere.

Is there a comprehensive list of legal fish sizes (qld) that is better than the DPI one? The DPI table is a joke, so hard to find the fish you are looking for.
