Hooked something not sure, maybe a jack, how do they fight?

Hi,

I hooked up to something casting soft plastics around, was in an area where there could be jacks.

How do mangrove jacks fight?, this thing I hooked came out of the snag went in a small arc and then right back into the snag like I didnt even have any drag on, didn't feel any tail shakes or anything. Was using 4lb line and broke off as soon as he got back there.

Sound's about right for ol'jack me off,they usually hit on the way back into structure so they are at full tilt when they hit.It's hard to do much about it on 20lb fireline let alone 4lb.

Jacks fight like besser blocks. Tie one to the ond of your line and throw it off a cliff and try and stop it hitting the bottom.

could have been anything mate jack,cod,big bream you just never know what they are untill you see them
