Thread: Spray Chines-How effective?

    Re: Spray Chines-How effective?

I almost bought a Horizon 425 ally boat from last years show but on testing found that the spray that came over the canopy was incredible, considering it was only light breezes that day. I ended up going back to fiberglass for less spray and banging.

Poo I got a 4.2 bluefin and had some put on but they only work to full potential at low speed. At high speed the spray comes out at a much lower angle and they pretty much do squat. The wind will still grab the spray and get ya.

My boat is a tiller steer so there will be some variation in weight distribution and effect the spray differently on your ride. Do it if you want it's no big outlay.

Sometimes i drive with the wind and then come back accross the crap so as not to get too wet i go a little further but i get there a lot drier ,atleast you have a windscreen to hide behind but i must admit i sit behind my cosole on my predator but my misses cops it sometimes whoooops ......matt

    Hey Matt
Your right about the old Clark's I had one an old Clark Cutter 1967 model it was the wettest boat i ever seen there was more water in it than on the out side of it.
