3 questions
hey all,
as the weather is so good this weekend i am wanting to take my tinny offshore off mooloolaba. can anyone tell me some decent spots fairly close in to try?
also what sort of rigs and bait should i be using.
and lastly I have some 7inch nuclear chickens so how do i use them in deep water

Hi Benny01
One of the main rules of thumb about fishing is never reveal your good fishing spots.
Best thing is to look for rough bottoms I think when heading off shore a bit. Works up here in Townsville.

I presume you have marks to find the Inner Gneerings. Just sound around in that area and you will find the odd bit of structure. I just anchor over these and bottom fish with a paternoster rig. I usually get a berley trail going as well with a floater. I have't played much out there with plastics.

Im very new to the plastics scene and never used them in deep water. But im guessing ya just need a heavy jighead to get it to the bottom, then work it the same way as shallower waters. Inner gneerings is only 10-20 metres deep, so it shouldnt be too differnt. someone can correct me if im wrong.
