Talk to Nigel at gateway bait and tackle in Ningi. He"ll sort you out with bait and fresh reports. His shop on the left side of the main road in town you cant miss it .You have to drive past it to get to Bribie. Also his got beautiful pillies and live worms.

At Heaven's gate a soldier stood,
    his story ready to tell,
St Peter said, 'no need my son all is understood,
Go right in cos you've already served your time in Hell'

if you travel a bit further up to caloundra go off military jetty and you should be able to pick up a jack, trevally, queenfish or jewfish on livebait.

maybe, but youll need to put in some hours, be there extremely early, or even during the night. They do get those jacks, queenies and trevally off there, but its hardly a case of just rocking up and catching one. Ive spent many hours there livebaiting mullet, whiting, herring, pike you name it, and all ive come up with is a couple of small trevs and an average sized queenie. The canals up there are much better in my opinion.

As for down Bribie way, a mate of mine did alright off skirmish point. Got a few nice bream and a legal tailor, maybe thats worth a shot.

    Cheers.

Mullet muskateer is probably the man for fishing the inside of southern Bribie.

If you're after "big" fish, you probably won't succeed landbased but there are some good drop offs d
