Wivenhoe Redclaw!!!
Has anyone caught any Redclaw at Wivenhoe lately?
Do they have any preference for a particular bait?
I've heard the rocky areas are better - true or false?

Re: Wivenhoe Redclaw!!!
With the lack of legal access to Wivehoes fishery, let alone the draconian rules on motorised boating, the powers that rule Wivenhoe could conceivabley do as they please, and no I have not heard of any Redclaw being caught for ages.

Re: Wivenhoe Redclaw!!!
Dropping water levels and lack of established weed beds may have something to do with it.
NPD has been slow on redclaws for the sme reason.
Don't believe the poison angle. I don't think there's a poison specific to redclaws !!!

no redclaw for aleast 3years but at the same time the Bass are getting bigger and the peacefulness (no gasoline jockies) is fantastic.went to Somerset recently, you have to hide in the timber or get runover.Nice to have the option for an electric only lake.Electrics are cheap to buy and run. smell the roses.cheersAlex
