THURS
Now for the Fishing, we arrived at camp site around 3 30 thursday set up camp and hit the water around 4 30. (were keen to start the fishing) about the 10th cast BANG i was on i was like a little kid in a candy shop. It jumped about 10m away from the boat, to my surprise this fish was huge. (for me anyway) about 10 mins later we boarded it and it went 105cm. then about 15mins later Bang my mate was on More aerial work and carrying on then we boarded our 2nd Barra it went 100cm. Our first Two Barra were a meter we could nt be any happier. Casted a few more times for no more fish then went back to camp just after dark as we were tired from the trip up.
FRI
Hit it agian the next morning we went looking for places to fish and trolling at the same time but no luck. Went out again in the Arvo and landed 1 at 65cm and droped a couple. Nothin on the tow as of yet only flicking in the timbers was produceing fish. was making fishing quite hard at the time.
SAT
Went out next morning early started towing the new place we found and tried these new lures out and within 5 mins the rod was screaming. I landed a 87cm. then just put the lure back in and Bang were on again And landed a 90cm Barra. What a morning it was turning out to be. 10 mins later this time the rod was howling it felt like i got hit buy train. about 10mins into it we seen this monster it looked like a dinosaur. had it next to the boat when it gave one last jump and threw the lure, i could have cried . We estimated it at around 130cm it was HUGE. We started flicking in the timber s within 30 mins we had another Barra which went 90cm. that was a good fight in amongest the timber.Threw for a little bit longer and then headed back to boast.
Went out again around 5 that night and this turned out to be the best night EVER . We hit this same stretch of water were we fishid in the morning which was holding alot of barra on the sounder and alot of sunkin trees. We fished till 10 30 that night. we boarded 8 Barra for the Night. 1 at 79cm, 2 at 87cm, 1 at 93, 1 at 95cm, 1 at 97cm, 1 at 98cm and the last one of the night went 100cm. we also would have droped more then 15 next to the boat. it was what dreams were made of. We were stoked.
SUN
We didn't fish the morning as we spent the morning with the Girls and were very hung over from the night before
We took the girls out this time to try and get them a fish as we were over the moon. we towed for about 2 hours for not one hit. JUst when the girls had enough The rod screamed we gave it to one of the girls who got it right to the boat then jumped, smiled and threw the lure back at me which actually hit me on the forehead . Started again then Bang another rod went off, this time she boated her first fish it went 82cm. (she was so so so happy, and so were we.) Now for my other half to get one. It was another 20mins then we were on agian and after a good fight and a little help she got her first EVER fish and it was a barra. it went 82cm aswell so now both girls were happy. Fished another hour a landed one more which went 86cm. Then headed back to camp to have another drink.
MON
Headed out at around 9am as we were quite hung over (again). Threw lures around timbers for around 2 hours landed 1 Barra at 89cm and droped 3. Went Back to re fuel and eat and get ready for our last night there. Headed out at about 5. Started flicking around timbers till dark droped 1 at the boat and one jumped, smiled and waved goodbye. (cheeky bugger) Tow d for around 3 hours and boarded 2 fish one at 93cm and 1 at 85cm and lost 3.
