Hit the rocks again yesterday afternoon in the hope of another Jew.
The first signs were not good as there was still a good 3-4ft swell rolling through and I questioned for a while whether to fish or not.
Decided to give a higher ledge a go for a while and threw around plastics.
Was hard to fish with the swell and I had to wait for the lulls in between to work the plastics effectively.
About half an hour into it I got a nice big bump on the 100mm squidgie and hooked up.Coupe of nice little runs and head shakes and I had a little fella at the base of thge ledge.
Now this is where things got a bit interesting. With a good swell rolling through and no lower ledge to wash the fish up onto gaffing the fish wasn't easy.
I had the fish at the edge for a good 5 minutes before there was a lull between sets and I jumped down to a lower (bit dicey) area and gaffed the fish.
Luckily I pinned the fish on the first shot and then dragged him up to higher ground.
Might need a wingman for the next mission as this business of gaffing fish by myself and taking photos on the timer is getting to hard.![]()
Cheers
