Breaming is my LIFE!!!
Great work freeeedom.. I always thought the pine was fairly fished out, copps a good flogging but still produces! Can i ask you what your biggest Bream, Jew, and jack (if you have got one there) out of the pine is?
Mate , Nice catch there Freeeedom I think it might be time to trade you a few of my crabbing spots for a few of your fishing spots , another productive Pine session good to see.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY
Live life like a dog,If you cant eat it or hump it ,
pee on it and walk away.
Not a bad morning for you on the pine... Hope to get out there myself one morning soon...
nice catch freedom , im still trying to get me a jewie and having no luck at all , i have been getting some good bream (34cm) under the bridge at high tide . what sort of rig are you useing ? running sinker or a bit of a trace .
shane , lol im picturing it now freedom hits the brakes and three tinnys run into his transom .
cheers nico
i did get a little thredy up near the green marker at castle hill last week in the cast net i think thats what it was or it was one of them poddy nose perch but it looked like a small thredy 20cm .
he he he, Freeeedom we'll have to trade boats and I'll take em on a 'scenic tour' of the bridge area... nice effort there mate, I could only manage a 58cm flattie on Great Friday (for me)

Yesterday's jew was the biggest I've caught in the Pine - to get the big ones (15kg+) you need to fish the rocky headlands or the beaches. Best jack was earlier this year at about 43cm, best bream was a few years ago, almost 2 kilos - biggest bream I've ever caught anytwhere. Still plenty of fish in the Pine that's for sure
Cheers Freeeedom
Hi Nico
The rig depends a bit on the state of the tide. If the run is very small I'll put a tiny running sinker right on the hook - just enough to take the prawn down towards the bottom. If the run is stronger I'll use a larger sinker with a long trace (1 - 1.3 metres) so that the prawn is held at the bottom but moves around a bit on the longish trace. When it's absolutely slack I like to throw a live, unweighted banana prawn close in to the mangrove roots or pylons to see what I can attract, but you only get 30-40 minutes when this is possible
Cheers Freeeedom
