Bay night fishing
I'm thinking of heading out around the bay islands one night this week for snapper. Has anyone been out night fishing lately and done well? Can anyone recommend a spot I should try or particular bait I should try, what’s working at the moment? I haven’t been out in a while because of the less than perfect weather we have had since christmas.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Re: Bay night fishing
If bait fishing, any spot around most of the Bay islands can produce.
If you decide to anchor up, get a healthy Burley trail going. Fresh fish fillets ie. Mullet, Pike even Whiting.
Never bait fished Peel but there are always boats anchored up around the island, find your own patch, burley up and stay quiet

Hopefully get to mud tomorrow arvo/night, depending on the weather.
I always think mud is better late arvo/night than morning.
