Just wondering how tight or loose to have the drag when towing dead baits around. Lost a big blue towing a tayor around and wondering if it was because my drag was to loose?
have it on full set drag for the strikes if chasing spanish which i presume thats what you were after but if you mean't marlin i'd be going light on the drag for strike then locking up after fish turns,but if you tow baits around for mid to small sized pelagics with a light drag your just wasting hard earned fish that took time to find.
