How was your Easter Weekend?

Bet it probably wasnt as bad as this guy below. Just happened to be in the marina here in Hervey Bay to witness the influx of people, when he got towed in. Don't know the story, but obviously did not end well.
Me and my better half went out for a overnighter down the sandy straights to in-skip point, for a bit of recon, and was amazed at no matter how many times i head down this way, i always see something new.
And it was the first overnighter for my wife, so it was a bit of an adventure. Late in the afternoon we anchored back at Kingfisher Bay to enjoy a moonlit night, sipping on wine and eating prawns,listening to some good music, relaxing on the boat on what would have been the calmest night on the water i have ever experienced, and the missus was rapped!! We took along the kayak and also has a blast on that as well, poking up lots of creeks and catching lots of flat-head, brim, whiting, and seeing quite a lot of crabs scurrying through. Its amazing what you can see in a kayak that cruzes along so quietly. And with all the weather we have been having lately, it was nice to finally get on the water.

Had a shocker of a long weekend. Friday I got stranded when my battery died and needed rescue from the coastguard, then copped a spider bite while cleaning out the boat when I finally arrived home safely. After the bite Saturday was a terror, thumping headaches, body stiffness and aches all over and a nauseous feeling all day. Wasn't all bad, today, feeling much better, I headed into town to upgrade my phone and scored a new digital camera for nothing, also checked out a new tackle store, so that really upped my mood this weekend.

Went out for quick trips in the bay of brissy nearly every dawn and dusk for brim in the inlets and snapper around the islands. Caught brim on dusk and dawn but no large snapper at dusk which was a bummer with pretty good weather in a long time. But had a great time flicking my plastics just the same.
