Thanks David, I'm open to all the advice I can get, don't mind spending the money on a new one if I have to, but it's a lot of beer and fuel down the drain if i can get away for less.

    Cheers

Dave, many thanks the manual arrived safely - just wasn't able to communicate before as Ausfish had fallen over and i hadn't even saved your tel number elsewhere! I've had a look through the relevant section and although I'm happy enough to do the removal, I'm a bit nervous about stripping and repairing the thing, so I'll leave that part to my mechanic.

There is lots of other good stuff in there though and I can see the manual coming in handy down the line.

    Hi Carl,

thanks for letting me know. Happy that it will be useful to someone else. Yeah, hydraulic seals can be a bit tricky.

Good luck, the weather is too good for us to be sitting at home today. I might get out for a run later. Planning a fishing trip Thursday, but of course the forecasts now suggest a southerly change is on its way

    Cheers

    Dave
