Cabbage Tree Creek

Hey, Well I headed out with Keechie and his Dad to Cabbage Tree Creek yesterday morning. We drifted past the trawler boats and Nic got 3 strikes and a Bream spat his hooks under a jetty. We then set anchor in a wind free spot and Nic dad caught 3 Whiting and 2 Flathead all were 10cm's long. Nic's 2lb braid went screaming and lost the fish as it spat the hooks. Nics line goes screaming again, nearly getting spooled, then lands the catfish after 2 more big runs. I was flicking SP's around without any luck! We get some small Herring for live bait but nothing hits them. Nic's line goes off again and after 1 small run a Bream is landed. I was still flicking SP's but nothing was hitting them. On the way back to the ramp we trolled little HB's and Nic gets hit by a Flathead - His first fish on the troll.
