Fisherman Island
Hi. I'm going out in 2 days to try fishing from the land near the boat ramp next to the bridge going to fisherman Island and I was wondering what I could catch on soft plastic lures around there. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Fisherman Island
Hey mate, I fish there on the shore. There is a rockwall there and a couple of fantastic weed beds with drop offs. I would use 2" - 3" Pumkinseed Powerbait Minnows on a 1/32 #2 Jig Head. I've caught Bream, Whiting, Squire and Moses Perch. Good luck! And have fun

Re: Fisherman Island
Soccer guy the current runs pretty fast through there on a big tide (like the ones we are having atm) i know of the usuals being caught on plastics down there as in bream flathead and cod. but at the right time of year there is snapper tailor and threadys around. try throwing your plastic up currnet and working it back down with the current.
