    poppers?

Have been watching the popper posts and have noticed that just about everyone is using clear poppers..... Just wondering if anyone uses other colorers and has the same or better results?

Also is there any clear poppers that wont dint my wallet?

    Cheers, Mick.

buy a river2sea bubble pop 35 or 45 and scrape all the paint off, they are only about $10 each

In regards to Poppers in general, do people leave on or remove the feathers?

    Re: poppers?

The clear poppers are being used more for whiting.
There is no doubt that whiting have a preference for clear poppers.
(not saying others dont work but clear is better).

Many poppers work for Jacks,Trevally etc...

Captain....If popping for whiting I take the feathers off.
If popping for trevally,Jacks etc I just leave them on.

    Thanks guys,
Mines bigger: I have the r2s in 35,45 and 65, with the 2 smaller ones I might scratch all the paint off and keep the bigger ones for the trevs. I do have some 65mm brekley frenzy poppers in different colors. Has anyone had a success with them?

Pete, do the feathers make a big difference when chasing jacks and trevs?

    Once again, thanks guys.

    Mick.
I dont think they make a difference at all Mick,
They certainly dont hurt but after a while I just replace the back treble with a new one with no feathers.

    Re: poppers?

I use px45's and pink is definatly the best all round colour for bream and whiting.
The pink is a see through pink and i also use white in the px45 range.
I like walk the dog lures better for bream and whiting.
I also use TTC,towardi, and the like and they all catch bream and whiting in most colours. (but everyone has there favourite colours)
If its the frenzy popper im thinking off i think it will be abit big for whiting but should still get some bream.

Pete, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

    Cheers, Mick.
