thats a cracker..love the "Top Gun " music, I have done the same myself.
We go Mullet Punting in the Logan River, tow a home made raft with a gas light and a net on it while the mullet are around. They do the same thing, jump at the light, hit the net and fall in the punt. we dont get as many as those lads but manage plenty of bait

Hello Everyone,
Never have seen any fish jump into boats of any description however as a child growing up in northern NSW on the Barwon river I did witness fish, thousands of them, leaping out of the water, the noise was like somebody throwing a handful of stones into the water, except it continued for several days. I cannot pinpoint the exact time or date but between the breaking of the drought of '60-'66 and '70 flood. During this migration of fishes, we had traps and lines and lived on yellow belly and cod for weeks. My mother was over the sight of fish, Dad and us kids cooked many a fish on the banks of the river, to this day I can still remember how good it tasted. Rosie.
