right guys went out wanted to see wat all this popper fuss was about with the whiting .
managed a decent whiting and had another drop off. right as i was walking away there was a bit of surface movement, casted out and landed a nice trevally. only had the 6 lb leader whiting gear on so it was exciting. managed to hook another one but the hooks pulled out then hooked up with a larger one which did a couple of runs and busted me off ,gotta say its one of the more exciting forms of fishing

never really tryed the popers what sort of areas, coditions or situations do you use them, is it a case of if you see suface action give um a go?? from what i gather small and clear is the way?
ps nice fish sounds like you had fun!
