On to Bribie !!!!
Hi Fisho's, We are heading up to Bribie in 2 weeks, for Easter school holidays, and I'm wondering how the fishing is going and are there any particular place thats better than others in the passage. Also, are there any places that the crabs are hiding. I'm taking my nephews up there and I'd love to get them some fish and crabs etc..
Any info would be very much appreciated.
Thanks ttone

Re: On to Bribie !!!!
I had a look at the Bribie passage yesterday - first time for quite a while. I was looking for a few sandies, but only managed one legal crab for the morning. I also had a fish for a while in various places that usually produce for me, but only managed one squire (31cm - released) from under the bridge towards the top of the tide. I drifted past Buckley's Hole a few times throwing soft plastics and also drifted across the banks above Shag Island with both baits and soft plastics without getting a single hit. The tide was high, so I couldn't get any yabbies, which almost never fail to produce something. I know this probably doesn't help much, but it's the best I can do since I haven't been there regularly lately. Skirmish Point would probably provide a few dart and possibly a tailor or two at this time of year also

Re: On to Bribie !!!!
the scene has been quite over the past couple of weeks,,,,, not that the fish/crabs aren't there,,, more due to the weather i think,,,,
i'm out on the water tomorrow and saturday,,,, i'll put a post up in estuary if any change,,, the passage has been like glass during the run to and from work for most of the week,,, but has been a bit choppy from mid morn to afternoon,,,,,,
this full moon should """hopefully""" do something,,,,,, lol,,,,
choppa

Went to donnybrook today. Not much fish action but there's a few crabs about. Try the drains up past Lime Pocket.

Re: On to Bribie !!!!
went for a walk along the board walk this arvy and i tell you what the southern part of the passage was littered with boats and jet skies.
i got to tell you i wouldn't like to have been out there trying to catch a fish or four.
hopefully further up tomorrow will be a little more quite

Re: On to Bribie !!!!
Went fir a fish up there yesterday. Drifting the shallow banks between Whitepatch and Mission Point, on the Island side of the passage. Managed 3 nice flatties on squid, heap of whiting on worms/ prawns, bream on the same and a sweetlip. Most action was just after dead water at the turn of the tides.
