G'day

Just got back into fishing after about 16 years off, thought it would be good for the kids to do, the boy hates it but my daughter luvs it so its early starts for me and the daughter when on holidays.

Anyway came across this forum while doing a little research on salt water fishing, i have only fished fresh water before but live near the bay now so spend a bit of time on the local pier.

Yeh got 2 kids and 1 likes to fish so i have a 50% sucess rate, the other will come along but quickly finds a spot to practise his leg spins.

Hi Stu....welcome.

Us freshie's certainly have lots to learn about those salties. For a start, at least with fresh - there's only a couple of species to master!!

Anyhow, good luck with the kids...I really dont know how you all have the patience to teach them.....but certainly glad my dad dragged me with him out fishing all hours of the day and night from the time I could walk!!!
Unfortunatly, dad is no longer here...but he left behind a lot of knowledge and a mad-keen fisherdaughter!!
