Yea definitely go the Sol. I own two Shimano Sustain 1000's and after getting my job at bcf and feeling all of the reels on a regular basis, i would rate the sol over any of the shimano's. The handle is much easier to turn and a lot smoother, the drag is perfect, the bail is as smooth as silk (much easier to open and close then any shimano) and just in general it feels like a better reel. I am buying a sol 2000 this week and am spooling it with 6lb yamatoyo p.e for breaming.

Re: Team Dawia Sol 2500 vs Shimano Twin Power 2500

Just picked up a Sustain FE 1000 & 2500 on my stop over in the U.S.A. Lovely reels which are a definite upgrade on the old Sustains, all the new technology of the new Stella's only with less bearings. The Sol is a lovely reel but have a look at the new Sustain FE if you get a chance, both are a similar price.
Don't play stupid with me...I'm better at it!
