Help with matching rod to reel please

    Hey guys...

I would like some members opinions on what type of rod i should match to a Daiwa Advantage 3000 spinning reel.

I will hopefiully be using it to catch my first bay snapper and as a bit of an all-rounder for the river...and reef (close in reefs as only have a 14 ft tinnie) as well.

I don't want to break the budget so looking at something under the or around the $150 mark.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated...
    Mic

maybe something like a shimano raider snapper. Not sure if a 3000 would balance well but give it a try

TD Advantage would match very nicely, but there ~$200, or the Tierra which are also a nice rod and would be very close to your budget.

    thanks for the suggestions boys...

tetsuo: in regards to the balance...do you think the 3000 model might be a bit big/bulky for a 4kg raider?? havnt received the reel from shipping yet so havent had it in my hands yet.

have had a quick look at the t curve and they feel awesome...very light but plenty of grunt by the looks of them. a litle more than what i wanted to pay though...unless there are any 2nd hand t curves gettin round out there...

    Yeah bulli,

unfortunately I wouldn't put anything bigger than a 2500 on a 2-4 kilo rod. I'm not really familiar with the whole raider range, I thought they might have something a little heavier to suit
