Yes I have one with the sounder module as well
The G2 is ok Prett much the same as other mapping software they all use the same datum
The fishing chart is not to bad for finding new ground with the contours
What impresses me the most is the screen it is really good even with polaroids

i have seen the g2 card in action, they aren't to bad, the picture quality on the image isnt to flash however.

instead of buying a 4008 with a g2 card look at the Hummingbird 900 series. it has aside imaging, kinda shotty quality but good idea.

otherwise a Raymarine E series with Navionics platinukm card will do the trick however will cost a fair bit more
