    Exclamation Penn International Torque 300

Hi Fellas, wondering if any of you are familular with these reels??, have seen then advertised in a few Fishing Mags lately, and would like to know a bit more about them.I always use lever drags when trolling , but the Missus does'nt , she would rather use the star drags , and these look as if they might be just the thing.
Did a Google on them and have found a US store that has them reasonably priced , compared the Aussie, very tempted to order 1, look and sound like what I might be looking for to stop a Billy or Marlin, what do you think???

Bulletproof. If I wear out my Torium, that`s what I`ll be getting.

Thanks Reggy, thats excatly what I wanted to hear!!!
I went ahead and ordered one from the US, $400 AU delivered , compared to over $600 to buy in Australia!!!Great buying now the $ is so high!!!
We use the Torrium as well, great reels for Bottom Bouncing, but the Missus wants something similar for trolling for Bill Fish/Marlin, hope thios reel will be big enough to handle that, oh well if its not it can join all the other Reels I got

    Thx

    g,day broomey
thats great buying for a top reel , 32lbs drag out of the box and a massive 1220mm of line retrieved per crank , i've had mine for over a year now dressed with 80lb sufix performance braid and have used it for floating big snapper baits to trolling for speedsters , also awsome jigging reel , or bottom bouncer ,the rock fishos love em to cause of the disengaging spool that allows you to cast a fairly small metal lure a long way.
crank it up and hang on

    Re: Penn International Torque 300

    G'day Broomey,

Like Swano said, you wont be sorry...fantastic piece of kit. Tough as nails, plenty of drag awesome, retrieve ratio and not too heavy to use all day. I've had mine for nearly a year loaded with 24kg Sufix jigging braid - floated for snapper, live baited for AJ's and with the retrieve ratio have used it jigging for kings & AJ's, nailed an 8kg bull dollie trolling at the FAD off Moreton before Christmas - certainly out classed the fish, but it still managed to pull some drag. Be good to see it get a real work out on a good sail or billie

Ya missus will be very happy...

and @ the dollars for what you get, its great buying at the moment

    Cheers

I picked up one of these reels the other day. They look the goods, and for that price who would spend the extra money on a Saltiga, Torsa etc?
