Boat ramps on Straddie.

I assume that there is ramp at Dunwich. Just wondering if there is anywhere to launch the boat amity point? I have not been to straddie for about 8 years so its all long gone! Any other ramps on the island?

hi theres a good ramp at amity just be carefull of stone fish iv seen one from the jetty years ago cheers

The ramp at The One Mile, Dunwich is the pick of them, it's well protected but parking can be tricky at busy times.
Amity has 5 rustic ramps, one is used by the Moreton barge but can be used by boaties, 2 that drop off into the channel on low water, and 2 that flatten out onto the shallow sand bank at low water.
It'd be advisable to give them all a good look over on arrival and choose the best ramp given the tide & weather conditions, a different ramp may be needed for retrieving.
