    Maroon Dam At Easter

    the family is heading to maroon holiday park for easter break i will be pulling the camper and tinny, has anyone been fishing there recently that can let me know whats biting etc and any tips on what i should take way of lures etc. would appreciate any help thanking you all.

    no mate first time, went to Glenlyon at Chrissie and had a great time caught quite a few yellas, i can feel a freshwater addiction coming on thats why im heading to Maroon this time then hopefully Monduran or Awoonga at Chrissie this year.

    Been getting them on spinner baits in boney bream colour in morning and when sun gets up a bit 9am i go to darker colour and the evergreen tiny max in ayu colour have been a great colour as well.

    Also try small surface lures very early in the morning and after dark. Could be a lot skiers in the main basin over Easter but the good news is Maroon is at 60% so you can avoid them by heading up the creek during the day. Plastics on betts spins go ok too.

    I only use bassman but i use a smallest willow blade i can get away with for more vibration at a slower retrieve.
