    Deeep water bends

    Hi all

    Thinking of going to deep water bends tonight to wet a line. Just wondering if any one has asome up to date info on DWB..

    I've heard Snapper, Bream and your usually species there at the moment.

    I have never heard of anyone catching snapper at DWB

    Should get a few bream if you fish lightly around the pilons.
    They get the occasional cod and flatties there, and if your really really lucky, and use fresh or live bait, you might get a lilttle jew, or maybe a jack.
    But generally your looking at bream.

    toadies bream and baitpickers yes maybe a cod or flattie dont think u would get a snapper tho

    caught a small snapper in the channel at Jacobswell and off Short down the Pin so I wouldnt be suprised if yuo could score one at Deepwater Bend .cheers alex
    Ps I hear the odd snapper is caught in the Brissy river

    tom those red fish are jacks mate nah the usual lots of bream and a few flatties

    you can catch squire between dwb and dohles rocks , not always and never big ones but they do go there . i was fishing under the hornibrook one night with a mate and he got one that was just undersize . there are lots of bream around the highway bridge and we got a nice muddy there last night .

    Yes there are squire in the pine river ,I caught my last 1 there on thursday near the hornybrook bridge on half a herring he went 32cm and went great on my light line good luck m8 (yes it was released )

    trust me what I caught was too bloody small to call a Snapper , Im to old to change my ways now thanks for the lesson.cheers alex
