ANybody in T'ville or Nth Q with Eagle Plotter

I am getting an error on my eagle intellimap 640c that says the gps is not recieving, i was wondering if anybody up this way has a similar unit that i can plug my GPS reciever into. My reciever is a EGC-12w GPS Reciever. I am able to post it if somebody can give it a go for me.

Not yet but will be purchasing a Eagle 642c IGPS in the next couple of months. Sorry I can't help anytime sooner..

Mate, i have a 500c you could come and try it if you want. I am pretty sure they use the same connections.

Brett talk to Peter Knack down at Leo's he sold me the 500c, basically what he was saying was that you dont need the resolution in your GPS that you need in your sounder, not only this you will save yourself a couple of hundered bucks.

Thanks for the offer Rod but the reason I am looking at a combo is that I currently am running an Eagle 480 Sounder and a Magellan GPS315 Handheld. Getting the 642C IGPS means that I have the ability to use the 642C in my smaller boat. the added advantage is that if I have to return tye 642C under warranty, I don't lose out as my 480 will fit in the new boat and I just have to use the smaller gps unit until the 642C (not that I am hoping for warranty issues). Cabling will be exactly the same for my small boat and the Big Formosa.
P.S. Local Bank Manager said yes, just waiting on the approval from down south and then it will be ordered, hopefully Monday...
