    Wet Cell Deep Cycle choice

    Hi all,

I am considering getting a Trojan 130Ah battery but spoke to a retailer and they suggested a 140Ah Supreme Deep Cycle (which is cheaper). Has anyone had any experience with the Supreme? Are all brands much of a muchness?

    Thanks

isn't the whole point of a deep cycle battery that it can stand being drained completely but also not being used for a long time?

That's the whole reason ppl use them in caravans and what not, isn't it?

THe trojan are ok in household situations. The one I have has a red / brown plastic casing and the casing is very thin. It developed a leak where it was sitting on a small stone. If you get one make certain it is sitting on some polystyrene and cannot rub against anything. You also need a special handle to carry them.
