Re: GPS PLOTTER and Green Zone rubbish!
Just my two bobs worth!
We are heading to 1770 for our annual fishing trip in April and have purchased a new Sea Map with green zones shown for that area. Haven't seen it yet but I am told they are easy to use and extremely accurate.
On the other hand, some of our favourite offshore fishing spots are in the proposed green zones for Moreton Bay and I have used the make track option on the GPS to highlight where the proposed green zones may be and called that track for example [MNP 12] so as to know if I am in a proposed green zone or not.
Quite simple once you download the co-ordinates of the green zone from the EPA Website and a bit of research of even the simplist GPS such as our backup Garmin basic unit, you can have all the zones at your command without a Map Plotter expense.
Truly, I'm all thumbs but after a few hours and several rums it was amazing what my simple GPS could do!
