    Hamish,

dont have an ep60 but have an ep10, has worked flawleslly for a year and a half now, very accurate, little bit of mucking around to get it calibrated once its done works a treat.

    Hamish,

I have a lowrance X107cdf, which is NMEA 0183 and 2000 compliant. The only issue I have with the 107 is that it is displayed in gallons, but get used to calculating that pretty quickly.

Other lowrance models have updated firmware.

    Suprising how much information it is able to give you though;

Fuel used per trip, current fuel usage (Gph), fuel remaining in tank, total fuel for the season, average fuel consumption, consumption per mile + some other stuff.

It also supports multiple fuel tanks and multiple engines, so when you configure it so you can set it to suit match your boat.

    Was a worthwhile investment.

by the way what are you doing with a diesel?

    Regards
    Honda.

bugger. I assume its on a nmea2000 bus.
Is there any other devices on the bus?
    is the bus powered?

Yer, we set it up to the book, and again checked all settings but no luck.
Just waiting for the next time to go out, soon, and try again.
    No just the sounder/gps combo.

Will try now to ring Lowrance. BRB.

you shouldnt need to go out to see it on the display. It should recognise that there is a probe attatched in your back yard

Hamish, I had the same drama with my ep10 only reading in gallons when I set it to litres, but when I set it to gallons, Hey presto, reads in litres,. It may be worth a try on your unit. ( mines hooked up to a lms 332)

    jeffrey_h,

did you end up getting this sorted?

Mine displays only in gallons, changing to litres makes no difference.

When mine was first installed in the boat it wouldnt work, the problem was that the nmea network did not have the ground connected, so it requires all three positve negative and a ground for it to work.

On my 107cdf you need to select nmea2000, then bus setup, at that point you will see that the ep10 is available, then you need to configure it from that point, set the tank size etc

this link has an attachment to the manual, looks like lowrance have been doing some work on updating the manuals.
