    Re: Monduran Rocks

    Conrats to you Rosco
You have taken and accepted all these positive suggestions about handling fish and releasing them, and are now in the know and keen to put them into practice when next you tangle with the chrome monsters. It's just a nice positive outcome, i suppose thats why we are all on here to learn about fishing. I wish some others would follow suit, and not think the replies are an attack on them and what they are doing!!!!!!
    Well done again

    Re: Monduran Rocks

    That's some seriously big Barra.
I'm keen to get back out there and go again.
It's good using lures and not having to cart bait and a freezer around with you.
    Rosco.

    Re: Monduran Rocks

No swell, no salt spray, no rust, no stinkin bait, dont have to clean boat or flush motor, all that plus big barra, how good is it

    Re: Monduran Rocks

Well done Rossco thats a massive barra. As a good mate of yours and full blooded salty i would have not hesitated doing the same thing with the bogga's no now but . In comparison fight wise on the same rod. If you were to hook a metre long reef fish which would be a harder fight?

    Re: Monduran Rocks

Mate. We both know the answer to that. In comparison I landed the Barra in about 2 minutes, A 90cm Snapper takes about 10 (if your lucky). I'm told that the barra didn't fight to much because of the time of year we were there. I'll take the big reefies all day. Then again the weather isn't being real friendly lately so at least we can wet a line in the Dam. MMMMMMMMMM Snapper.
